This afternoon, I almost killed a deer on the way back from publix. The poor thing seems crazed scared and bolted across the street a foot or two in front of the car. Thank heavens for quick reflexes and good breaks. He never looked back.
I also had these 2 sightings.
The natives are stirring…!!

The deer have been a threat to drivers for so long here. Most times when I see them, they just watch me drive by. A very good reason to keep your speed down. I hit a deer on US 1 near Philadelphia several years ago. Over $5,000 damage. Luckily we weren’t hurt.
The Canada Geese, on the other hand, seems to be a new threat. Though they may look nice, anyone who has tried to walk near a lake or pond or on a golf course in the Northeast knows what a nuisance they are. You will definitely take some of their droppings with you. They are PROLIFIC!! Also, they can be very aggressive, with or without young ones around. They need to be removed before they take over.
Great photos – I’m so pleased that each time I’ve experienced the geese crossing the road that all motorists give them plenty of right of way.
Thanks also for the water article giving the addresses of those effected.
