Spoonbill Neighbors Hear from the Homeless Coalition

By Louise Nelson

Another successful turn out for the Spoonbill Neighbors!

There were 25 in attendance for our 2nd General Meeting on Tuesday morning. And there was a special guest speaker: Debi Redding from the Homeless Coalition of St. John’s County.

Debi enlightened us about the organization and the way it has helped so many families overcome unforeseen, difficult circumstances. The organization also assists with Veteran and senior homelessness. Debi said there is much to do, volunteers are always needed, and donations gratefully appreciated. The Spoonbill Neighbors and the Homeless Coalition will seek ways to work together to help those in need.

Then, each Group Leader summarized events already held and those coming up. From the enthusiasm and ideas offered, Spoonbill Neighbors is growing into an energetic, fast-growing group of Marsh Creek homeowners.

One of the projects we may add to our schedule is an event lighting up Marsh Creek for the Holiday Season! Stay tuned … more details to follow.
