| HOME PRICES UP: Homes in Northeast Florida are getting even more expensive. The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors says the median price of a house in the area rose to $420,000, up 2.4% from May. Prices have been increasing a little bit every month since a dip in February. This time last year, the median home price in Northeast Florida was $389,000. Prices vary quite a bit from county to county within the region. Houses are cheapest in Putnam County, where the median price is just over $300,000. The median home price in Duval is $350,000. And the highest housing costs are, of course, in St. Johns, where the median home price is $579,000. (Jacksonville Daily Record) |
