About 20% of Marsh Creek residents – excluding the Villa – have a wood mailbox. That style offers the convenience of the slot for newspapers etc. and the strength and durability provided by its 6”x6” solid wood post. However they do require occasional refreshing, i.e. painting or new numbers and may even need replacing of the box holder section.
Two residents, Peter Clayton and John Molinari can provide such services and have done so for about thirty residents over the past ten years or so. If you’ve received an email from Leland Management requiring you to refresh or replace, you can contact Peter (904/436-3978 or pac120691@aol.com) and he and John will inspect your mailbox and provide a work estimate.
We use treated wood, galvanized/rustproof bolts and a primer coat before applying the official Marsh Creek Charleston green paint. Although the MCOA website no longer has a Neighbor Recommendations section we can also provide references.
