Food Drive Now in “Bag It Yourself” Mode

Due once again to popular response, we have run out of dedicated Publix shopping bags for the 3rd annual Share the Feast food drive on behalf of the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County, However, the need remains. So, if you can, please fill your own bag (or bags) with some of the items below and join your neighbors in delivering it to one of the locations below.

THREE DROP OFF LOCATIONS:

  1. Louise Nelson on 209 Fiddlers Point Drive
  2. Melody Ness on 401 Misty Morning Lane
  3. Patty Damon on 408 Players Ct. 

Return Dates: Nov 18-24. (Leave on the porch is no one is home)

What Items are Needed?

Boxed Mac & Cheese / Canned Corn, Green Beans, Carrots or seasoned greens/ Jello & Canned Fruit / Instant Mashed Potatoes, any variety / Cake Mix & Frosting / Mayo/ Pork and Beans/Rice, stuffing mix or hot rolls mix/ Gravy mix/Candy / Muffin, Roll or Biscuit Mix / Peanut Butter and jelly/ Juice / Canned Meat or Fish/ Mayo.  Also needed are Shampoo, Toothpaste & toothbrushes/ Soap bars/ Dishwashing liquid.

Specific to Homeless Single Adults and Veterans:

Canned Ham or Spam, Instant mashed potatoes, Canned sweet potatoes, Pork and Beans, Chunky Soup or Chili, Canned Ravioli, Tuna, Mayonnaise, Canned Fruit, Cereal or Oatmeal.

Extra items; Bar soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Razors and Laundry Detergent 

(These are suggestions.  Any and all the items will be appreciated).

Can I give cash instead, or cash as well?

If you wish, and your schedule or capability precludes shopping for these items, cash donations can be made directly to the St. Johns County Homeless Coalition at https://homelesscoalitionstjohns.com.
