The Marsh Creek Easter Bunny was very generous this year, thanks to the generosity of so many in our community who went shopping and stuffed bags with so many needed grocery and personal care items for homeless families and veterans in hard times.
In all, Marsh Creek collected 54 bags of food and toiletry items, and …, yes, 192 cans of peaches. These went to the Homeless Coalition.
The current veterans residing in the Veteran Village received 15 bags of food and toiletries.
Organizers at both centers accepted the gifts with appreciation.
An upcoming story will tell more about the great advances made by The Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County campus and of the Veterans’ Village offering affordable housing for our veterans.
