Can you Vote in the August 18 Primary?

SHORT ANSWER: YES, if you are a registered voter, you can vote in the Aug 18 primary.

Early Voting : August 8 – August 15, 2026

Voter Registration and Party Change Deadline: July 20, 2026

Election Day: August 18, 2026 Polls open 7 AM – 7 PM (You must vote at your assigned precinct on Election Day)

Photo and signature ID is required when voting in person (For a list of acceptable forms of ID, click here)

Vote-by-Mail: The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed for this election is August 6 at 5 PM. To request a vote-by-mail ballot, click here.

Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 PM on Election Day, August 18, 2026, to be counted.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned:

  • By mail
  • Secure Ballot Intake Stations, available at all early voting locations during the hours of voting
  • In-person at the Elections Office
