Five of us enjoyed delightful weather Wednesday morning, launching onto Big Davis Creek at 9:05 for a one and a half hour paddle during which we saw no other boaters, only a handful of turtles.

A light breeze coupled with the outgoing current and clouds sheltering us from the sun until the very end made for ideal conditions.

Julington Creek Fish Camp provided the perfect ending to a great outing – and we were home by 1:30. Thanks to Marty Mariner for the photos.

Next week, weather permitting, we’ll return to an old favorite – Deep Creek in Hastings.
