Beaches Oktoberfest, Florida’s Largest Oktoberfest, is coming back to Jacksonville Beach this October after a nearly three year hiatus because of the pandemic. Thousands are expected to attend the 6th annual festival happening October 7 & 8th at the Sea Walk Pavilion

 The special event will feature 2 stages of live music including national headliner and country superstar Corey Smith and World Renowned Reggae Band Inner Circle – The Bad Boys of Reggae! In addition to great music, the event is well known for its variety of German, Oktoberfest and Craft beers, 60 local artists and makers, over 20 of Jacksonville’s favorite, local food trucks, an Enhanced VIP Experience and activities for all ages!

Festivities and the concerts are best enjoyed with General Admission Experience Pass which include a 1 FREE BEER, a Festival Passport and a GA Experience wristband which includes access to grounds, food trucks, beverage stations and concert. The festival will also include a reimagined VIP Lounge with couch and comfortable seating, private bar, air conditioned restrooms, and more.

St. Johns County Civic Roundtable to Host Public Meeting on 1 Cent Sales Tax Increase

 The St. Johns County Civic Roundtable will host a public meeting on Monday, October 10th at 12 noon to provide County residents more information about the proposed 1 Cent Sales Tax Increase

Chairman of the County Commission, Henry Dean will present information about the sales tax and how the proceeds of the sales tax will be used.

Residents are invited to attend to hear the presentation and to ask questions so that they will be informed as this issue will be on the November 8th ballot.

Members’ Party!! We’re inviting the “neighbors” over for a little shin-dig!

Mark your calendars to come by the Oldest House Complex on October 13th for a fun get-together with the members and staff of the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. We are honored to host the first of what we hope are many, many semi-annual functions like this to come.

What to expect: Heavy hors d’oeuvres, a viewing of Dr. Michael Gannon’s spoof horror film The Creature of St. Augustine,  Tarot Card readings, a special exhibit of St. Augustine-themed spooky artwork by graphic novelist Andre Fritteli, “The Cabinet of Curiosities” – our newest temporary exhibit curated directly from our own special collections, Frank & Stein hot dog stand/wine and beer bar, and more.
