I am a 10 year resident of Marsh Creek, a veteran CNN anchor and correspondent, and later an aerospace corporate communications executive.
My entry into journalism began in college radio in Montreal and a part time gig on the weekends at a top local radio station. From there to Parliament Hill, to network television, and later a jump to CNN, finishing my career in international corporate communications with Boeing. Through it all, I have been fortunate to have traveled the world and seen and done a lot.
Before succumbing to the financial plague wrecking much of printed media today, Marsh Creek’s formerly popular printed newspaper served as an outlet for budding photographers and writers, a welcome mat for new arrivals, and a platform explaining complex community issues facing the Board of Directors of the day.
With your help and support, the Spoonbill Courier may help recover these missing components of our community spirit. But it will require your involvement…Marsh Creek residents like yourselves, directing the fate of this new tool.
So, send your thoughts and guidance, and above all, your contributions. For me, this unofficial Marsh Creek Journal, AKA The Spoonbill Courier, is a labor of love.
