Five of us enjoyed a sunny day to make the 4.7 mile paddle which was a little more strenuous towards the end as the 10-12 SW wind was right in our faces.
Julington starts fairly narrow with trees and floodplain on either side – very pleasant surroundings. John S. spotted a swallow tailed kite soaring over us and a red shoulder hawk flew right behind Stan other than that not much in the way of sightings.
Lunch at the Fish Camp outside on the deck at our usual table was a wonderful way to end the day – thanks to all participants – photos from Stan to follow.
This week we plan to do Six Mile Creek but the forecast doesn’t look promising at present.
