St. Augustine Beach Gets a Museum at The Pier

Join the St. Johns Cultural Council at the Cultural Arts Center at the St. Augustine Beach Hotel, 370A A1A Beach Blvd, St Augustine Beach, on Wednesday, June 5th at 5:30 PM for the opening celebration of the new permanent exhibition, Waves of Change.

This outdoor exhibit highlights the history of St. Augustine Beach, from the construction of the St. Augustine Beach Hotel as a Works Project Administration project in the 1930s, to the wade-ins that provided impetus for the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, surf culture, and more.

The opening ceremony will be followed by a concert featuring Billy Buchanan and his Rock ‘n Soul Review at 7 PM.
