Night of Lights 2024 Wrap

Hi gals, I thought you both might like to know that driving home last night, so many of the streets were just gorgeous with the luminarias, it was absolutely beautiful!!” – Helen Borisoff

Unlike last year soggy, rainy evening, Night of Lights 2024 had perfect weather, kicked off at 5:27pm by a spectacular sunset.

Temperatures remained in the mid-60’s, the sky was clear, the winds were light, and then with the sun down, we had a full moon (not perfectly captured in the shot below).

Around the community, caravans of sightseers drove by and dropped into the driveway parties.

For next year …

Georgia McMeekin recommends her SOLAR luminaries, purchased on Amazon:

“Little solar panel. Plastic bags.  Three little light bulbs in each bag. Got the kit on Amazon.   Was great. The road was dark at 9 pm. I finally brought mine in at 11. Can use now in my lanai.  They were great. Waterproof wind proof. Weather proof. First time here in December to participate. No sand. No candles.”
