In her recent inaugural All aBoard Newsletter to residents, Marsh Creek Homeowners Association (MCHOA) President, Barbara O’Conner, announced creation of a restructured Nominating Committee and appealed to homeowners to become more involved in the community:
“… now called the Board Outreach Committee, chaired by Lynn Pauquette. An important objective of this committee is to encourage residents who have interests/talents that could enhance our committees, to attend a few committee meetings and perhaps consider joining.”
Another superb chance to sample Marsh Creek’s community democracy will be this Tuesday’s monthly 4pm MC Board of Directors’ meeting.
On tap for approval at that event are important amendments to the MCHOA bylaws. If approved by the Board, homeowners will endorse the changes, potentially in a vote during the sparsely-attended General Meeting in December.
Since these important changes would constitute the first in 13 years, a homeowner joining Tuesday’s Zoom call will have a chance to learn first-hand the context of the proffered amendments and weigh their merits. They may also get acquainted with the Board members, the board’s processes and procedures, and give themselves the chance to consider getting involved.

To obtain the Zoom call-In telephone numbers and the complete agenda, interested homeowners need to do all of the following:
- Visit the MCHOA website and sign in.
- Under “Members Only” click on “Document Center”
- Then click on the + sign beside “All Documents”
- Then click on the + sign beside “Board Minutes, Agendas and Contacts”
- Then click on “Board Agenda” at the bottom
- And finally, at the bottom of that, click on “MC-08-25-20 Agenda”.
There you will find the full Tuesday board agenda and call-in numbers that will allow you to phone in and listen.
