Actress Teresa Harris performs in The Dining Room

Featured Organization A Classic Theatre
A 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre company, A Classic Theatre brings classic, historic and original theatrical works to the cultural landscape of St. Augustine, Florida since 2005. It is known for presenting works one wouldn’t normally find in the Ancient City like Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, The Vagina Monologues, and local works like Darwin’s Babies, Henry Flagler Remembers, and My Friend Zelma: Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings on Trial.   With no theatre to call home, A Classic Theatre continues to produce impressive shows at every conceivable venue in St. Augustine including the Ximenez-Fatio House courtyard, the Flagler Room (Ladies’ Parlor) at Flagler College, Limelight Theatre, and more.   Until Sunday, November 7th, see The Dining Room at the Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center for just $22. The first play of the season, A. R. Gurney’s play explores the declining importance of the dining room, which is a comment on how American society has changed for better and worse. The result is hilarious and touching.   Learn more about A Classic Theatre here.

“The Revolutionists” at Flagler College November 10-14

Four beautiful, badass women lose their heads in this irreverent, girl-powered comedy set during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror.   This grand and dream-tweaked comedy is about violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters, and how we actually go about changing the world. It’s a true story. Or total fiction. Or a play about a play. Or a raucous resurrection…that ends in a song and a scaffold.   See the show at Lewis Auditorium from November 10-14. General admission $15.   The Revolutionists
