As expected, Tropical Storm Nichole and high-tide produced inundation on waterfront properties along the west-side of the Marsh Creek community fronting the Matanzas River this morning.
These pictures were taken at 9:46am as water intruded up and into the backyard of a home on Fiddlers Point Dr.
The water-level is higher than experienced in the same spot recently during Hurricane Ian. Nicole spans across the state, and is sending an Atlantic storm surge into the St. Augustine and Matanzas inlets and the St. Johns River.
Yesterday, (see a previous report), the Club’s tennis courts and driveway were underwater and inundation was threatening parts of Marshside Drive.
