Our next presentation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 1pm, at the Anastasia Branch library in Sea Grove.
The October presentation will be with Len Whiteside on “Jeb Stuart: The Rebel Cavalier”. It will examine the life and exploits of this daring and dashing confederate cavalry leader in General Lee’s army, along with the major battles of his time.

Jeb Stuart was a great leader, but to brash for his own good. Nathan Bedford Forrest was better.
The Confederacy never had a chance to win the war. They were overwhelmed, including my four great grandfathers – one disabled, one killed, one captured, and one surrendered at Appomattox.
They did not fight for slavery, they fought for their fellow soldiers, as in all wars.
