Spoonbill Courier

Artist Update

When was the last time you came downtown for Friday Art Walk? Can you remember? And were you brave enough to risk tourist mayhem during Nights of Lights?

Well, here’s an idea: If you have restless family still in town, and give credence to rumors St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights is quieter than normal, and a warm-up coming from this Arctic blast, why not come out and support two of Marsh Creek’sleading artists when they unveil their work locally. So, here’s the plan:

First

At 5pm on Friday January 2, hustle down to The Art Studio at the pier to support the talented Stan Hill and his great photography. He will be one of two featured artists at this 5pm wine and cheese event at the pier. We showcased some his work in a recent Spoonbill Courier story.

Next

Jump on a trolley, grab an Uber or drive yourself and head downtown to Aviles Street to catch as Marsh Creek neighbor Bob Arbogast as he steps into the spotlight too at the Acacia Tree Gallery. We featured his exceptional talent in a recent Spoonbill Courier report.

Bob wrote his invitation this way:

“I have officially joined the Acacia Tree Gallery on Aviles St beginning with this Friday’s Art Walk. Yes, I decided to crawl out from under my rock and join a gallery for the first time in my 67-years. After swooning over Stan Hill’s photographs at the pier, people can hop the trolley and come wish me well downtown.”

So, there you go, Marsh Creek. It’s January 2, 2026. Kick off the New Year with an artful double-header.

You’re welcome!
