Picturing a Nation: American Art from the Lightner Museum

Picturing a Nation is a major installation of American paintings and sculpture from the Lightner Museum’s permanent collection. From America’s great vistas and natural wonders, to intimate scenes of St. Augustine, Picturing a Nation presents a vibrant vision of America on a local and national scale through late-19th and early 20th century American art. Bouke de Vries: War & Pieces at Lightner Museum

This exhibition of London-based Dutch artist Bouke De Vries’ War & Pieces has been described as a “masterwork” by art critics. The monumental artwork, crafted from thousands of fragments of porcelain, reimagines the decorative centerpieces that adorned seventeenth- and eighteenth-century banquet tables. Magic, Mirth, and Mortality: Musings on Black Motherhood” Exhibition

The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, St. Augustine Historical Society, and Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, present this multi-institutional exhibition and panel series. Miniature Marvels at St. Augustine Art Association

Masterpieces do not always have to be big and grand to make a huge impression! Sometimes it is the smaller things that solicit a closer and more intimate observation from the viewer. Experience a visually enthralling exhibit as you immerse yourself in a world of minuscule sights. The works in this exhibit are no larger than 12 inches and reveal little marvels in a vast range of mediums and subjects. This exhibit will take place at the St. Augustine Art Association located at 22 Marine Street in historic downtown. St. Augustine Art Association present the 6th Annual St. Augustine Plein Air Paint Out, a community-wide event celebrating the area’s history through art. On Wednesday, artists will be painting with St. Augustine Fashion Week Designers at Villa Zorayda & the STAAA Gallery. The Mountaintop presented by Flagler College at Lewis Auditorium

It’s a conversation about racism and justice and holey socks. 32nd Annual Tour de Forts Classic

Hosted by the North Florida Bicycle Club, the Tour de Forts Classic is a one-day event designed for all road cyclists. The event begins at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, and packet pick-up is available at 7:30 a.m. Ride through history past the Castillo de San Marcos to Fort Matanzas. The longer routes offer a ride through farmlands, the Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail and along the St. Johns River. Five distances are available: 26, 40, 55, 70 and 100 miles. The club will provide pre-ride snacks, rest stops stocked with food, water and Gatorade, marked routes, maps, mechanical support, SAGs, motorcycle safety escorts and a post-ride lunch.
