A Spectacular Saharan Sunset

A previous Spoonbill story reported on the Saharan dust story invading Florida this past weekend….

Previously, on July 17, David Muir told us about the science behind the sunset phenomena.

Last night, we saw a perfect illustration of light distortion through atmospheric water and solid particles and the result was a spectacularly colorful sunset.

Here is a sequence of photos that show, literally, how the sun went down.
