Get ready for another spectacular season! We’re bursting with excitement to share a sneak peek of the incredible talent and breathtaking music heading your way for our 19th year! Mark your calendars for a special prelude on May 18th at the Waterworks, where the magnificent lyric baritone Robert Sims, accompanied by the exceptional pianist Chi-Yin Chen, will grace us with an unforgettable program. This is just a taste of the sonic wonders to come! Then, in June, prepare to be captivated by not one, but three world premieres! We are thrilled to present brand new works from the visionary African American composer Nansi Carroll, the renowned Piotr Szewczyk, and the brilliant rising star Alex Cooper. Be among the first to experience these groundbreaking compositions! This year also marks a wonderful addition to our festival family as we welcome a vibrant choral program led by the talented Darren Dailey. And that’s not all! We are absolutely delighted to have the popular and SAMF favorite, Nigel Armstrong joining us for the full two weeks of the festival. Prepare to be mesmerized as he performs Astor Piazzolla’s evocative “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires”. Adding to the nostalgia and excitement, after a decade, we will once again bring to life the stunning “St. Augustine Suite” by Piotr Szewczyk, a piece commissioned by your festival! We envision this powerful work becoming the very soundtrack of our beloved St. Augustine, Florida, and we hope you’ll be there to help us make that a reality.
