When the Dec 30th Spoonbill Courier story whimsically asked readers, “When was the last time you came downtown for Friday Art Walk?”, it must have struck a chord, because just a few days later, two Marsh Creek artists unveiled their talents at separate venues during the January 2nd First Friday Art Walk and found they had a small army of groupies come out to to support them.

Bob Arbogast
At the Acacia Tree Gallery downtown on Aviles, the ever-humble Bob Arbogast (“Yes, I decided to crawl out from under my rock and join a gallery for the first time in my 67-years.“) was astonished at the turnout.
“Please extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came downtown on Friday’s Art Walk”, Bob wrote.

“I especially want to thank the neighbors who drove into the craziness of town, only to find there was no parking available and had to drive home frustrated. 17 of us gathered at the Acacia Tree Gallery to see my paintings, and then strolled to the St. Augustine Art Association, where I won an award for my painting. I was honestly overwhelmed by the response.”

Meanwhile, back at The Art Studio at the St. Augustine pier, an equally retiring Stan Hill wrote that he was so busy that evening that he failed to take photos of himself and his fans, but he did manage to show us see his display.

Stan was equally grateful for Marsh Creek’s support.
It was a “… fun night. Amazing turnout from many in Marsh Creek. Thank you. Thank you”.
Bravo, Marsh Creek. Bravo …

So glad to see our Marsh Creek artists recognized!
Wish Stan Hill had more space to display his remarkable photos! But great turnout by Marsh Creek supporters!!!
Sorry, I had to miss it due to a persistent medical condition. However, I’m glad to hear the turnout was so good for these two outstanding artists, whom I am privileged to know. As soon as I am able, I will definitely make it to their show.
