With just a two-day gap from Friday’s Night of Lights celebrations, Spoonbill Neighbors threw an end-of-year Christmas party at the Club Sunday night and had a terrific turnout, good food and drink, and a lot of the camaraderie that makes the Marsh Creek social group feel like a close-knit family.
Billy Buchanan and his Band let everyone dance off the calories from the Italian themed dinner, although those gorging on the mountains of cannoli no doubt brought those home.

Nancy Hill and Donna Delzingaro directed the months-long organizing wizardry that made this such a successful night; Tim Nichols did a fine Bob Barker imitation as the evening’s emcee. Sharon Mirzai won the $500 cash door prize, looking a lot less surprised than Louise Nelson who went home with a holiday gift bag of sweets. And the Bob and Gia Arborgast seemed very pleased with their door prize – a single bag of Rao’s spaghetti … because it also came with a $50 gift coupon from Viola’s.

And Scot Brunke! For the 2nd year running, he won, deservedly so, Grinch of the Year award.

To all: Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah!
